Bruce hall is a legally blind photographer with 5% vision (secondary to nystagmus, myopia, astigmatism, ambloyia, macular degeneration and exotropia), who opens his home to us through 170 color photographs accompanied by his wife’s intimate stories.
Together they share what life is like with twin boys diagnosed with severe autism.
Immersed: Our Experience With Autism, self-published in 2016, is now available on Amazon. In this episode, Bruce shares his personal journey of capturing moments, experiences, and emotions through his limited vision lense. As typical parents do, Bruce chronicled his family through pictures, not knowing that the images he captured would become a 275 page, riveting experience.
Bruce talks about the steps before his successful Kickstarter Campaign, the decision to self-publish, mentors who helped them along the way, and the blessings of relationships and connections which have provided opportunities such as THE focus of the Apple “Behind the Mac” Ad campaign, as well as photos acquired by The Library of Congress.
