PRODUCING, MODELING, AND LIVING FULLY WITH ANDREW PILKINGTON
Andrew Pilkington is a producer and independent filmmaker who raises most of his funding through Kickstarter AND is also… a model for Tommy Hilfiger’s Adaptive clothing line that makes fashion more accessible for people with disabilities.
In this episode he is joined by his mother, Deborah Ciolfi, to support and provide clarification when needed. Although his speech, as well as gross and fine motor movements, are affected by Cerebral Palsy, he is a highly independent adult who lives and works in New York City.
3 things you recommend to someone who wants to get into filmmaking and has a disability?
- Go out and do it. It’s not impossible.
- Just because you can’t hold a camera doesn’t mean you can’t do all that you want to do.
- Meet like-minded people. It’s all about teamwork
- Learn as much as you can about every aspect of the industry.
*4 things are better than 3 😉
Thanks to Andrew Pilkington for joining us!
