MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP WITH FE MURRAY
Fe Murray is the current President of the Arizona State Speech-Language Hearing Association where she works with audiologists and speech-language professionals in the state of Arizona, to advocate for the needs of the profession and the people they serve. In this role she leads a volunteer executive board comprised of colleagues from different parts of our vast state, and with varying professional experiences.
She also has a full-time job where she supervise graduate students in their clinical practicums, supervising therapy and evaluation teams, teaches graduate level courses, presents, and is involved in on-going research projects.
In this episode, Fe shares what it’s like to raise your hand to serve in a very public, volunteer, Leadership Role.
- Make sure it’s a “family decision” when you take on a Leadership commitment.
- You must be comfortable with working with people.
- Tap into your passion to take you through the difficult times.
