Stuart Duncan, also know as AutismFather, embraced blogging to share his experience as the father of a child with autism, and also a parent diagnosed with Asperger’s.
When he found out about the demand for a safe space for people with autism to engage in the popular game Minecraft, he started a server called Autcraft in 2013 – which quickly grew to be a safe haven for autistic people and their families. Today with almost 11,000 names on the whitelist, he provides a place for them to play, grow and be their best selves without any judgment.
If you’re thinking about developing something to help kids with autism…
- Just do it. There never the right time, enough money, etc.
- Remove the fear in all kids, not just kids with autism.
- Be patient, as patient as humanly possible.
Thanks to Stuart Duncan for joining us!
