Literacy apps are a great way to engage students in the 5 Pillars of Literacy — phonemic awareness, phonics, reading fluency, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. With 67% of 4th and 8th grade students falling below proficient in reading comprehension (NAEP 2017 Test Scores), engaging students in literacy is more important than ever.
